By The Numbers
Search Engine Optimization – SEO can often seem confusing and too technical of a term for people not familiar with digital marketing measuring tactics. In simple terms SEO is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to a Website. The goal is to get more of the right audience and less of the wrong audience. And facilitate an environment where your products and services can be found. With this in mind, we begun a series of actions with the intent of increasing and sustaining our brand new Website with traffic that matters. This blog post is a “report” for the month of May.
The results are in and we are pleased. Our new website is now holding amazing numbers with a steady increase month-over-month.
For you to have an idea, 18.7% of our visitors spend more than 5 minutes on the website, 8.4% of our visitors spend more than an hour on the website and the majority of website visits come from the United States with a good number of visits coming from countries, in which, we also have a Web presence and distribute our books.
Since we went live we had thousands of unique visitors with more than 44,000 hits* just in the month of May. That represented a 33% increase from previous months.
Our new blog has captured thousands of visitors and Facebook was crowned “our most successful referrer” website. A nice blend of .edu and .org websites continues to refer and link to us and our services, but the .com domain extension took an early lead and finished strong with the most referrals.
Although, Google chrome and Firefox continue to hold the “most used browsers” category, IOS, Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Android operating systems were the most used systems accessing our website.
The average of more than 1,400 visitors a day represents a great reassurance that we are heading on the right direction and our clients will benefit from their engagement with us. So, thank you all for May and let’s do it again this month.
